95% of training issues are caused by web browsers. Always make sure your browser is up-to-date before taking a training course.

You might have difficulties if your browser doesn’t support HTML5 or if you’ve got a cache build-up. It’s always worth clearing your cache if you’re experiencing problems.

Problems with the final test are very rare but are usually caused by your browser. Ensure you have the latest version installed or try a different browser completely.

In some instances the window will not scroll down and you cannot see the ‘Proceed to test’ button. We’re working on a fix for this but in the meantime simply zooming out (using the browser settings or try pressing ctrl – on the keyboard) is a quick fix.

The cache is a build-up of data in your browser. Different browsers each have their own ways to clear the cache. Copy and paste this link into your search bar to find out how to clear the cache in whichever browser you’re using – https://kb.iu.edu/d/ahic

 

Don’t worry! You’ll be logged out automatically after a period of inactivity for security reasons. Our courses each have a handy ‘remember me’ feature so just log back in, click on your training course and pick up where you left off.

The courses are made from big files, so you probably just need to give it time to buffer. If you’re using 3G or 4G, you’d be best off switching to WiFi, to save yourself some data and to increase buffering speed.

To gain your City & Guilds accredited qualification you’ll first need to complete every slide of each module. To ensure that course takers get all the information they need, they can only move onto the next or previous slide when the voiceover for each slide has finished. Coursenotes are available for use until you’ve completed the training and taken the final quiz (they’re screenshots of the slides).
