NCASS

Why you need NCASS hygiene & Safety Training?

Our courses are different to anything else on the market today
Before starting any work involving the handling of food, staff should receive induction training in the workplace to make them aware of food hygiene issues. This is included in our level one course available both as a distance learning book and online course.

Staff will also need further instruction suited to the type of work they do. You and your staff might all have different training needs, so you should consider each member of staff individually, this is often called a training and needs analysis in a company employing large numbers of staff, but for most small business you will be able know most employees requirements through working closely with them.

You might also need to make special arrangements for staff whose first language is not English and those who have learning difficulties or literacy problems.

Food Hygiene

It is a legal requirement that all persons handling food be trained commensurate with the work activity.

In practical terms that means that everyone in a food production or retail sales facility, needs formal hygiene training.

These elements are included in our level 1 and 2 courses.

Health & Safety

It is the duty of an employer to ensure the provision of such information, instruction, training and supervision as is necessary to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health and safety at work of his employees.

These elements are included in our level 2 courses only.

Due Diligence

When something goes wrong in the workplace the employer need to be able to prove that sufficient training / instruction has been provided, and therefore can submit a defense based on due diligence or in other words that he / she has taken ever y possible precaution which in the main involves three elements, risk assessment, instruction / training and record keeping.

Our courses include all of the above, they show how to carry out risk assessment not only for food safety but also for health and safety, fire and COSHH ( Control of Substances Hazardous to Health)

As far as we are aware no other course in the UK includes all these elements.
