Here are a few of the most commonly asked questions regarding NCASS training courses:

Q. Are the courses accepted by enforcement authorities?
A. Yes they are, online courses are a way of meeting your legal requirement to have sufficent training comensurate with the work activity.on accordance with the 2007 Food Hygiene Regulations and the Health & Safety at Work Act. Upon completion of our course you will be sent you unique laminated certificate, usually within 5- 7 days. We are always happy to speak to your Environmental Health Officer to verify the syllabus covered or to validate a certificate.

Q. Do I have to be a member of NCASS to do the courses or can I just pay?
A. Yes you can put in a debit or credit card and it will let you start straight away, but if you have amore than one person to train it makes sense to join as members get unlimited free training on most courses and you get all the other benefits as well.

Q. Can I get immediate access to the courses?
A. If you are paying for the courses access is instant, if you are a member you will need an Authorisation Code which you should of been given when you joined, if not call the office.

Q. What is an Authorisation Code?
A. An Authorisation Code is a code issued by NCASS to allow free access to the training courses

Q. How many FREE places do NCASS members get?
A. It depends on the type of membership, mostly level 1 and 2 are unlimited, other courses have more limited number of places.

Q.I have lost my codes what can I do?
A. There are two things either call the office during office hours on 0121 603 2524 or if you are an NCASS member the codes can be found in the training section in the members control panel.

Q. I have lost my username or password how can I get it?
A. You can use the lost username and password feature on the web site at the log in screen?

 

Q. I can’t upload a photograph of my trainee?
A. If the file is too big i.e. over 3 mbytes it will not upload, you can either resize it yourself and try again, or email it to training@ncass.org.uk and we will do it for you, but please remember to give us the name of the trainee.

Q. What kind of photograph can I send?
A. A passport photograph is ideal, it needs to be around that size with the person facing forward with their whole face visible, holiday snaps are not acceptable and will just delay the issuing of the certificate.

Q. I can’t pay for the certificate online what can I do?
A. You can call the office and we will take the payment manually

Q. Can I pay for the course by cheque?
A. Yes you can but we will not award the certificate until the cheque has been banked and cleared which can take 2 weeks from date of receipt of the cheque.
